History of the Echo department of RIC dates back to the history of the institute itself. The department started functioning in 2013 and initially it was established with one Echo Machine. With the passage of time, the department has evolved into modern setup and is now equipped with 6 top of the line ECHO machine systems and 2 Portable ECHO machine. The machines are available in ECHO department of RIC and also in Emergency department to cater the requirement of the department. Postgraduate trainees are also welcomed here for training's in Echocardiography.

For Patients Benefits :

The Patients don't get long appointment dates. Most patient are entertained on the same day. Moreover, Echocardiography report is also being delivered on same day, so that the treatment of the patients would not be delayed.

Currently the ECHO department is capable of handling the following tests:

1. Echo.
2. Stress Echo weekly basis.
3. 3D echo.
4. Transesophageal Echo.
5. Strain and strain rate images.
6. Peri-Operative Transesophageal ECHO in Operation Theater.
