Cardiac Surgical ICU of Rawalpindi Institute of Cardiology was established in 2012. With the expansion of the operation theatre and increasing workload, the Intensive Care Unit of our hospital has come up as state-of-the-art unit with 18 beds. The unit is equipped with latest ventilators, transesophageal echocardiography, haemodialysis and renal replacement therapy equipment, intra-aortic balloon pumps, invasive & non-invasive cardiac monitors, bronchoscopy and portable imaging. The unit is managed by a team of highly qualified doctors, nurses, physiotherapists and technicians, where resident intensive care and surgical expertise is available round the clock.
